Order Cancellation

In order to provide the fastest service possible to our customers and provide same day shipping, orders get processed quickly. Once you submit your order on our website, in stock items on the order cannot be cancelled. All orders move swiftly into our fulfillment systems and we are unable to halt an order that is already being processed for shipment.

United States Shipments

All orders will be shipped via UPS Ground (unless otherwise noted... exceptions include Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and US territories. See note below chart.) to all destinations in the United States only (Woodworker Express does NOT ship outside the United States.). Please note that UPS will not ship to a P.O. Box and all shipments are required to have an actual street address. Our shipping and handling rates cover the cost of shipping plus packaging materials and/or processing in a simple tiered rate policy.

Woodworker Express stocks most products for fast, same day shipping via UPS Ground.

You will receive a shipping notification via e-mail containing the time your order was shipped along with carrier used and tracking number if applicable.

It should be noted that transit days are in "business days" and don't include weekend time.
For example, a product shipped on Friday with a 2-day Transit time will arrive on Tuesday.

 

Transit Days:
Transit days are a reflection of "business days" and do NOT include weekend time. For example, a product shipped on Friday with a 2-day Transit time will arrive on Tuesday. For quicker transit times, look to Expedited shipping options and/or Saturday delivery.

As our business also runs on "business days"... Monday through Friday, an order placed on a Saturday with Next Day Air selected as the shipping method will begin processing on Monday. Therefore, if product is in stock, the order will be picked and ship out on Monday and be delivered on Tuesday.

LTL Freight:

What does LTL mean?

Some items in an order may be classified as "long", "bulk", or "hazardous materials" and cannot be shipped via regular UPS. They will be coded LTL (Less Than Truckload (opens in new window)) in the product definition and you will see a note of "special shipping requirements" in the product description. If at least one item on an order is coded LTL, the entire order will qualify to ship via a LTL freight line and only one freight fee will apply. LTL shipments to commercial addresses are set to a $95 flat rate and all residential shipments will charge a fee of $125. We will also change the shipping method to LTL for all heavy shipments over 300 lb and the same commercial/residential rates will apply.

Additional Handling Fees:
Some products, due to the nature of the material being shipped, excessive weight, or size may incur additional handling and/or freight costs. Those products and the associated costs are noted in the description for the product under the heading Additional Handling Fees and are automatically added to the freight cost in the cart.

Expedited Shipping:
Merchandise needing to be shipped Next Day Air or Second Day Air may be labeled LTL or require additional freight charges. If that is the case with regards to an order you place, Customer Service will contact you with the additional charges before releasing your order for processing. Due to the hazardous nature of some of our products and/or large dimensions of boxes, we are not able to quote all Next Day Air / Second Day Air charges for your orders on the website.

All Next Day Air or Second Day Air orders should be placed before 3:00 p.m. CST to be delivered as requested. Unless Saturday delivery is specifically requested, Next Day Air and Second Day Air shipments fall under the rules of "Transit Days" which are business days and do not include weekend days.

For example, a Next Day Air shipment placed on a Friday will be delivered on the next "business day" which is Monday.

Ships Direct From The Manufacturer:
While we promise "Same Day Shipping" on most in-stock items we sell, when an item is specified as "Ships direct from the manufacturer", we do not currently have stock in our warehouse for that item and the shipment may take more time to process. Quantity on hand levels shown reflect manufacturer’s inventory and availability of the item for a faster turnaround.

In order to process an order shipping from the manufacturer, we place a "drop ship" order directly with the manufacturer on your behalf. The manufacturer then processes your order according to their processing schedule and ships it directly to you.

Once the manufacturer processes an order for direct shipment to you, the order cannot be canceled. Most manufacturers charge a restocking fee for returned orders. If an order is refused or returned by you for any reason other than damaged goods or a product mistake, you may incur manufacturer restocking charges which will be your responsibility to pay and will be deducted from any credit you receive back from us.


PRO Membership

The Woodworker Express PRO Membership program is an annual prepaid fee shipping program providing unlimited free standard shipping for 12 months from the date of purchase. The cost of the yearly membership is $180 USD plus tax. Membership covers standard freight charges only. Air shipments, LTL/3rd party shipments and/or additional box fees charged for large packages are not included in the free standard freight membership. The PRO Membership is only available in the U.S. 48 contiguous states. Woodworker Express reserves the right, at its discretion, to cancel a membership at any time and provide the customer a full refund of the original $180 purchase price.


 

 

Returns

image representing Download Help Document (opens in new window)If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you may return the new and unused item(s) within 30 days of receipt for a credit posted back to the original method of payment for the merchandise purchased (shipping charges excluded). Woodworker Express reserves the right to assess an up to a 30% restocking fee to all return requests within this 30-day timeframe. To avoid a restocking fee during this 30-day timeframe, there must be an exchange of the returned merchandise for merchandise of equal or greater value at the time of return. Return request after 30 days and up to 60 days of the delivery date of the merchandise will be assessed a restocking fee of up to 40%. Any return request after 60 days of receipt of the order will not be eligible for return. Please request your return through the Order history page of our store. Returns can only be processed for orders with a status of
Completed (green Order Completed status image) and within 30 days of delivery.

Returned items must be in the original product packaging. Customer is responsible for return shipping charges, except in the following cases, in which case, we will provide you with a return shipping label:

  • defective or damaged merchandise received
  • we shipped the wrong product by our error
  • incorrect written description for the product

We cannot accept returns on special order items, items made-to-order, items with installation related damage, or items damaged during shipment back to us due to improper repacking. We cannot accept returns of items sold as "final sale" items.

All returns must be requested through our Create Return Request function available through the Order history page of our store.

Please include a copy of the original order confirmation or packing slip with any paperwork as proof of purchase.

Returns received at Woodworker Express without a properly processed return request may be assessed a 30% restocking (processing) fee within 30 days of purchase. To avoid a restocking fee, exchange the returned merchandise for merchandise of equal or greater value at the time of return.

To Request the Return

  1. Login to your Woodworker Express account.
  2. Click on the History button at the top of the screen to go to the Order history page.
  3. Within the order list Search Results, find the Document # / Order # for your return request.
  4. Click on the Document # / Order # link and you are taken to the Order details screen.
  5. If you are within the 30 day period for requesting a return, scroll to the bottom of the page to the "Create Return Request" area.
    1. Click the trash can icon to the left of line items you do not wish to return at this time. (If a return of these items is needed at a later date, you will be able to come back and process an additional return request.)
    2. For items to be returned now, indicate the quantity of the item to return and pick a reason for the return from the dropdown list on each line.
    3. Below the items, indicate whether you would like us to "Send replacement" or "Refund purchase (via original payment method)".
    4. In the Comments field, please provide further explanation for the return request.
    5. Click the Create return request button to create the Return Request and submit it for processing.

Your Return Request will be submitted to our systems for processing. Customer Service will review all returns and send out labels or contact you for further information as needed.

 

Note: After submitting item(s) for return, those item(s) will be disabled and grayed out in the Create Return Request list. No further action may be taken on those items until the prior return request is completely processed.
