The required side clearance that is required is 1/2" + 1/32 per side. This could by why you are having a binding issue.
I have 1/16 total side clearance and the soft close slide is too tight. It slides well until it as at the point of engagement and I can feel it hit the plastic retractor mechanism on the cabinet side The standard KV Gslide that cam out worked perfect.
