KV sells a #12 x 2" so that would be their recommended screws for the standard. You dont use a screw for the bracket

This PDF has installation details. https://www.knapeandvogt.com/sites/de... #12 x 2" is correct for standards. Here is what they say for brackets. The longer oval head screws can be hard to find. I think flat heads work fine. 5. Place your shelf on the brackets so that the back edge of the shelf touches the standards. Stabilize shelf using bracket screws (#6 oval head tapping screws: 5"-12-1/2" brackets use one 1" and one 2" xxxx ; 14" brackets use one 1" and one 3-1/8" xxxx
