Does this receiver work with a smartphone app? looking for a way to use a phone to dim the lights without having to have the hardwired power supply. will be using 60w plug in power supplies and need to have them dimmable and controllable with a phone.

No, this system is for the Tresco FreeDim system. FreeDim fits a standard wall switch box and is a remote controlled device that works with a disk battery so that you may control your lights from the wall. A Tresco Dimmable LED Power Supply is what you would need and you would just change the actual outlet you are using for the power supply to a Swidget Wi-Fi System (Swidget White 20A Outlet with Wi-Fi Insert 120VAC Tresco L-R1020WI000-1. SKU: 11616781. The top outlet is a normal outlet, the bottom outlet is controlled by the Swidget App available for download.
