Can the height of this be extended? I need to cover an opening that is 35.75W x 30.25H.

The height can not be increased. You would need to use a version that has straight track and curves in the corners. Check SKU 4104 and 4103 for the straight track and corners for 1/4" - 5/16" thick tambour. We also offer one other thickness option on the site.
