Yes, these will work. The depth of the holes is 3/8"

Hello, we purchased shelves that are right at 5/8" thick. Will these be to big, meaning the dowel that sticks down into the wood? I see where it says "Installs easily in 1-1/4" applications". Just want to make sure they won't stick through the wood.
