The inner width of the compactor is 8.25". Trying to see if this will fit inside the compactor bin. .The lip can rest on top of the bin ans the depth is not a concern.

Question: Hi - Thanks but it's the "depth" listed above, the 9 5/16" measurement that I need to know what it tapers down to at the bottom. Not lengthwise end-to-end, BUT ACROSS the bottom side-to-side! Thanks!!

Question: Hi, I need to know if the BOTTOM ["depth" in description] is same as the TOP. I would call this the WIDTH. But whatever. :) It's the 9 5/16" measurement listed above. And if smaller -- what is the exact measurement across the bottom? THANKS!!
Answer: The 14-5/16" is the top of the trash can. The can does taper down to 11-1/2" at the bottom.
