These brackets are used to install the rear part of the drawer slide in a face framed cabinet. Generally with a face frame, the front of the slide is attached to the side of the face frame and then the rear needs somewhere to attach to since the actual sides of the cabinet are off set from the face frame. Therefore, these mounting brackets attach to the rear wall of the cabinet and then the slide slips into them.
