Range hood inserts work by drawing in cooking fumes, smoke, and grease through internal fans and filters, then either exhausting the air outside (ducted) or recirculating it after filtration (ductless). They fit inside custom range hood enclosures, providing powerful ventilation with a built-in appearance. Depending on the model, range hood inserts may use charcoal filters for recirculation or ductwork for external venting.
