To measure drawers for inserts, record the interior width, depth, and height using a tape measure. Measure inside edge to inside edge, not the outer frame. Subtract 0.25–0.5 inches (1/4 to 1/2 inch) from each dimension to ensure the insert fits easily without jamming or forcing into place.
