Measure where to put cabinet hinges by marking 2 to 5 inches from the top and bottom edges of the door. Align the hinge cup center on the back of the door and drill the cup hole. Transfer these positions to the cabinet frame or box for mounting. Use a tape measure to mark these spots on both the door and the cabinet frame. Ensure the marks are level and aligned, then use a template or the hinge itself to mark the screw holes before drilling.
