OSHA requires employers to provide face protection when workers are exposed to flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids, caustic liquids, chemical gases, vapors, or potentially harmful light radiation. Face shields must comply with ANSI standards and be used in combination with other protective equipment as necessary.
