Biscuit joiners are accurate for edge alignment, but they are not precision tools for structural joinery. A biscuit joiner cuts shallow crescent slots that help align boards during glue-up within about 1/32 to 1/16 inch. Accuracy depends on fence setup, stock consistency, and careful plunge placement.
