Teak wood lasts 10–25 years in a shower when it is properly sealed, cleaned, and allowed to dry between uses. High-quality teak resists moisture, rot, and mold better than most woods because it contains natural oils. Poor ventilation, standing water, and neglected maintenance shorten teak’s lifespan.
