Determine pocket hole xxxx size by matching xxxx length to material thickness. Use 1-inch screws for 1/2-inch stock, 1 1/4-inch screws for 3/4-inch stock, and 2 1/2-inch screws for 1 1/2-inch stock. Use coarse-thread screws for softwood and plywood, and fine-thread screws for hardwood.
