Works great! Stopped door slamming which was safety concern. Our grandson would hold his hand across door jamb while stepping down into garage. Loss of or broken fingers were possible

Advantages: Absolutely stopped door from slamming.
Disadvantages: After about a year, the arm sometimes would not open and the door would slam. I read these reviews and discovered fix; adjust the base closer to the hinge. Now works again constantly.
